The WBC Muay Thai USA Coach Development Program is designed for coaches who want to take the next step in athlete development and competition coaching. This intensive two-day course provides the knowledge, systems, and practical skills needed to safely prepare athletes for C-Class competition while building a successful, sustainable fight team.

Whether you're looking to launch your academy's first competition team or improve the structure of an existing program, this course combines classroom instruction with real-world coaching principles developed through years of experience producing national champions, international gold medalists, and Team USA athletes.

What You'll Learn

Day 1

• Competition philosophy and coach responsibilities
• Rules, regulations, and athlete safety
• Muay Thai scoring and judging
• Selecting and developing competitors
• Designing a 10-week fight camp
• Safe weight management and nutrition
• Running an effective fight team practice
• Padwork for competition

Day 2

• Technical and tactical coaching
• Cornering strategies and between-round adjustments
• Competition-day operations
• Opponent analysis and game planning
• Working with parents and building team culture
• Athlete psychology and performance under pressure
• Post-fight evaluation and long-term athlete development

MDL Officials Level 1 Certification

Participants may continue their education with the Muaythai Development League Officials Level 1 course, covering:
